So I have to finish my class by this weekend so I am a little busy right now, so I will blog later on this weekend.
In other news, have you been watching So You Think You Can Dance? It is one of my favorite shows. Sadly, I will miss the show tonight but don't tell me who makes the top 4, k?
I want Evan and Ade to be the top guys. I am a big fan of voting for people from Utah, but Brandon seriously weirds me out and I think he is getting a whole lot of hype for nothing. (feel free to look him up if you must) Just saying.
I just really want Kayla in the top 2 girls. The other two Melissa and Jeanine annoy me, so I don't really care (yeah, I'm kind of bitter about Jeanette going home last week).
Anyway...

A few posts ago I said you should come and see me this summer and in return I promised you some cookies. Well guess what? Summer's almost over, so no cookies for you fool!
I got a call from Robert's Craft the other day and I won a free Cricut cartridge. It's the paper doll one. I love it. I have to write some lesson plans for my class. (Thank you for asking what they are about!) I had to pick a topic taught in all grades and write 5-10 lesson (a unit), then write 4 assessments-kindergarten, 1st-2nd, 3rd-4th, 5th-6th. The lessons are about health and feelings and emotions. I decided to tie it into the art curriculum as well. I have a book called "The Black Book of Colors" (one of my new favorites!) that describes the different colors and a song about the different colors and the rainbow. For the younger assessments, I made some little people with my new cartridge. I think they are pretty darn cute if I do say so myself. I still have a few more to dress up but here are a few of them.

k so maybe I'm crazy and you don't want to come and visit.
Anyway, I have to present my lessons on Monday. Usually in my regular classes, presenting a lesson means teaching the lesson to the rest of the class. Since you have to do a few times per class it's not too bad. Since this is a summer online class, presenting means teaching the lessons to 4 of my teachers...which may be kind of awkward. Good thing I know these teachers pretty well. The one I'm worried about is my actual teacher for this class. He is the department chair and he kind of scares me a bit. Oh well. I have to teach at least one from each group of assessments...I'm probably confusing everyone now and I'm sure no one is reading so I will just end it here. I'll let you know how it goes.

Highlights from this weekend...in case you care
1. I went home. Yay! I love going home. Do you see those mountains? You can start to see them when you hit the first Nephi exit. That's when I know I'm almost home. While at home, I got my full intake of the Tour de France and the O'Riley Factor. It is important that I get all of this while I am at home since I don't get this is Cedar.
2. My mom and I went to lunch with my grandma to Applebees. It was fun.
3. Draper Days! Every year we go up to my grandparent's house in Draper when they have their Draper Days activities. It is an all day celebration including sometimes a parade, live music in the backyard from the park, a talent show (humor over talent), a BBQ, other activities with my grandma and aunts, all concluding with a firework show. This year we tie-dyed shirts and my brothers did a synchronized swimming routine for the talent (you'll have to ask my mom for evidence of this...or for my brother's permission) The firework show always delivers. My grandparents live right by the park so we just watch the fireworks in their front yard on this road right by their house. They also live right next the the mountains so the firework echo right off the mountains and make a huge noise. I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE fireworks. I am super bummed because I missed the talent show and the fireworks because of #4, but I am glad I was able to spend some time with my family and eat some darn good food! I seriously have the best family ever. We can compare if you want. I am grateful I am able to be super close with my immediate family as well as both sides of my extended family. They are all awesome! I also love the fact the my cousins are all coming of age and and we can chat on facebook. Love them!
4. Saturday night I went to see The Fray in concert. I like their music, they have some really good songs. But I'm not gonna lie, it wasn't the most exciting concert in the world. I had fun and we had pretty decent seats, but some people got mad at me for standing up. (um, we're at a concert fool) and they had to tell people to sing with them. I haven't been to a ton of concerts, but the ones I've gone to everyone just sang along and the singer just turned the mic to the audience and we knew what to do. But The Fray is still a pretty new band, so they have some time to work it all out. It was a good concert and they sing really well live and they told us the story behind their songs which made me like those songs even more. All in all I give it an 8/10. 1 give 2/10 to the parking and the whole deal getting out of there. USANA should probably think out their parking and traffic control a little better. 7 cars trying to get into the same lane at once isn't the safest thing.

(This is after the concert. I am a dummie and forgot my camera, so this is the only picture I really have and it's from facebook. We are in the parking lot waiting F-O-R-E-V-E-R to get out of the freaking place. This is with Brittany's shirt because yo tengo no dinero...that's Spanish for Elisabeth still hasn't found a job yet)
5. Sunday nothing really exciting happened. My mom did conduct in Relief Society for the first time and did a good job. She's super nervous about her calling and some people gave her a hard time, but I think she did and will do a Spect to the Acular job. Jake had a little episode after church in result of a ridiculously unbearably hot house and him being there all day not going to church because he didn't feel well. My dad made him sit in the middle of lawn with the sprinklers on. But he's all better now.
Anyway, I'm back in good ol' Cedar taking my good ol' math class. My teacher is super nerdy, but super funny so the class goes by pretty quickly. Anyway, I need to do my homework now There's just so much injustice in doing homework during the summer, at least it's raining today so I don't have to feel bad about not being inside.

Summertime!
When I was younger, I used to get these blond streaks in my hair from the sun during the summer. I also used to get super tan, but that's another story. Anyway, while I was brushing my hair this morning I found a piece of blond hair coming from my head and then panicked
"Holy crap summer's almost over!"
I've had fun times this summer, but not nearly as many as I have planned. I need to catch up. I've been feeling sorry for myself and my lack of money and nothing to do in this town, but enough is enough darn it! This is my last summer before I am a real adult. (I graduate for real in May...if I think about it long enough I start to feel like vomiting)
So anyway, bring on the lemonade and tan (ha) and let the summer begin!

This picture may be totally random, but my mom and I saw this kid wearing it last summer at the Martin Handcart pageant. It made me laugh.
P.S. I have gained a whole bunch of new knowledge today. If you want a crash course about the anatomy of a True/False question test, just let me know. Haha

Sorry about the lack of posts lately. My excuse is that my computer and I are having a bit of a disagreement lately. The kind of disagreement where it will randomly shut off when I am in the middle of doing my assignments and it chooses to go so so so so s-l-o-w when it starts up again, sometimes it takes 8 or 9 times. And sometimes it won't type "r" which is sometimes very ridiculously annoying. Yeah, I'm pretty sure it's pretty sick with a yucky virus, but Jude here has no dinero to fix it cause guess what, she STILL hasn't found a job. But I'm not going to complain too much during this post.
I leave you with this picture. I found this beauty in the parking lot down main street. The lady caught me when I was in the middle of taking the picture, but instead of being mad like I thought she would be, she just laughed along. She said it's so her and she just loves her big hair.
Somebody please come save me from these crazy women! Haha
