A to the MA to the ZING...sorry this is a long one but so worth it

I love Coldplay. They are my absolute favorite. I was so excited to go to their concert. We all left the BYU game (super lame), piled in the super beetle and drove up to the Energy Solutions Arena. We got to our seats. We thought to ourselves this wasn't too bad. We thought of how it could have been worse and we could have been ALL the way up in the nose bleeds. My brother and I talked about how one day, when we are old and established, we will be able to afford the floor seats and we are just going to have fun this time around.

This picture is kind of blurry, but it is taken from where we were sitting.

Me and Jake

This is the opening band with our zoom turned way up. We thought it wasn't too bad and that we would be able to take pretty decent pictures.

Malaina

Sam and Summer

So we are sitting there listening to the band from Texas, patiently waiting when a lady comes up and taps my friend Sam on the knee. She asked Sam how many were in our party and if we could follow her out. She said it was about our tickets. I was kind of worried, but we left with her and she led us to another lady outside in the lobby. They had on Coldplay t-shirt and headphones and looked pretty legit. They looked at our tickets and told us they want to help us get some better seats, but we would have to answer some questions. We agreed.
Question 1: "What is the name of Coldplay's first album?"
Me: "Parachutes"
Question 2: "What is the name of Chris Martin's two children"
Me: "Apple and Moses"
Them: "Congratulations, you just won better seats!"
We had to close our eyes and hold out our hands where they placed 4th row floor seats!!!! We kinda screamed. We hugged the ladies and ran to our seats. The way the seating goes, it turned out we sat row 2, front and center. We got wrist bands and soft seats.

K seriously, this kind of stuff NEVER happens to me.

Jake looked like he was going to cry. I couldn't stop shaking. We all just sat there and screamed and texted everyone. (my brother and I like to show off our excited faces and gross fillings in our teeth)

For effect, we took took a picture of where our old seats were from the view of our new seats.

And after like 2 hours of waiting and waiting (no joke) out popped Coldplay!

I know this picture is kind of freaky, but he seriously was right there.

Me with Mr. Martin singing in the background

During the song "Lovers in Japan" they shot butterfly confetti out from the ceiling. It was basically amazing

They all bowed at the end. I tried to take a picture of them right before they bowed, but they moved too fast.

They came out for an encore of "Yellow", which made me happy...and everyone else around me

The stage

The groupies.

Probably the greatest night ever. We saw the sweat bounce off of Chris Martin's forehead while he danced all crazy around the stage, we saw him switch between the guitar and piano, and he threw out his guitar picks. Malaina caught one. I almost fought her for it, but then I remembered how she plays the guitar so that was pretty awesome. If she would have caught his piano, I would have definately fought her for it.
I loved "Violet Hill" which he changed at the ending and sang "If you're from Utah, won't you let me know", "Viva La Vida", "The Scientist" where they moved to 4 extra seats in the audience and played there, "Yellow", "Death and All His Friends", "Fix You", "Lost!", and so much more! I took lots of video, but saddly ruined much of it from my singing and screaming. I will give you some, but don't judge me and my ability to sing so off key

Death and All His Friends

My video of "Fix You" isn't loading which isn't a bad thing since it's my absolute favorite song and I totally ruin it with my singing. Here is a version from some kind soul from youtube (with a close-up of some random kids...). Not from the same spot, but just as good. I loved when he turned the mic to the crowd and when he started to dance. We went nuts during the chorus when he came right to the edge of the stage. We were right there!!!

It was a good night.

7 daaaayyyyyssss!

That's what my brother left on my wall on facebook. This is why.
Back in August, we purchased these:

And so this upcoming Saturday, we will be watching a little bit of this
and some of that
and maybe a little bit of this

I am a bit excited.
Now for a little update:
I got a new job!! I am going to be a TA for the Native American Students at the local High School. I get this office and get to organize things and help them stay on track to graduate. I am pretty excited. I also get to work with my super awesome roommate Sydni.

I am also taking a round trip on the Greyhound to Provo and back, any advice?

Kinda worried

So I have math at 8:00 am. The teacher gives us 3 free absences and then she starts dropping our grade after that. Not gonna lie, I have missed a few classes (read 8:00 am, also note I have 18 credits with homework up to my eyeballs causing me to stay up until about 1 every night to work on it. The next person who tells me that being an Elementary Ed major is easy, I will shoot). I only had math today (one class!) and I still managed to sleep through my alarm. Not cool. I emailed my teacher and asked her if she offered any make up classes or if I went to her other class she teaches, I could count that as being there today. I just got her reply saying "think of this class like a job where you have to be punctual and responsible".
Teachers who take roll. I guess this is one of the perks of going to a smaller school.

Hallo-allo-ween-ween

(The title is supposed to be sung kinda like Rihanna via Umbrella ella-ella-eh-eh)

I am going a little backwards, but I was sorta excited to do the whole voting thing so I jumped the gun and posted that first.
I was 2 things for Halloween this year (haha to those who were only 1!) Our ward had a Halloween party at our stake president's airplane hanger at the airport. We ate chili in a bag of Fritos (I was kinda confused as well), line danced, and sang/but mainly watched others sing karaoke. I was a doll for that party. With really thick eyelashes. And gross hair. It was fun.

Myself

My roommates

The Thursday before Halloween, the institute had a trunk-or-treat party. It was kinda cold and I had to work kinda late so I didn't really want to get all dressed up. So I put on my cheapest costume ever (the one where I borrowed everything I didn't have) and went as a cowgirl. It was fun. There were trash can fires, donuts and hot chocolate, and live music by Corbin Allred (yup, the Saints and Soldiers guys really does go to my school) I would so a picture so I wouldn't have to explain everything, but Sam's camera freaked out and erased all her pictures. Since Sam's camera is the source of many of my pictures, I am currently picture-less.

On Halloween, my awesome roommate Sydni made hot wings and rootbeer, Brittany made some chocolate popcorn, Heather made some chips and dip, my roommate last year Natalie supplied us with some shrimp she left in our freezer last year (ya and I so got to keep it, along with all the other food she and the other one left. thanks), and I made some truely delish subs with some help from Gandolfo's. It was a feast that could probably feed a small country somewhere. We invited some people over and watched some movies and one thing led to another and we somehow had the 2 big bowls of popcorn all over the floor. Also, in the middle of all of this, we had a couple of trick-or-treaters. We gave them Little Debbie Snacks...just cause we're cool like that.

Sam and I. The cowgirl and the gross doctor with $1 fake blood all over her.

I apparently was trying to squeeze her head off.

The popcorn. My roommates wrapped me up in tape and rolled me across the floor. It only squished the popcorn more.

The end.
P.S. notice the lack of makeup on my face. Guess where ALL of my makeup is? In Provo in Jake's room. I sure hope he's not having too much fun with it. That would be gross.

Elisabeth Feels...

...like a super big grown up! That's right y'all, I voted. You should go and vote too. All the cool kids are doing it.
